Construída em 1913, no início do Século XX, a Igreja de São José é considerada patrimônio histórico e cultural do acolhedor Distrito de Palmeiras do Vale e, consequentemente, do município de Setubinha.
O distrito por sua vez está distante a 13Km da cidade.
A igreja realiza celebrações semanais e está aberta ao público todos os dias.
